Description
The trolls of old Scandinavian folk lore were not always depicted as evil or monstrous. There are many legends of trolls peacefully trading with humans. They were also considered human's closest neighbors in the forest and hills: Keeping a good relationship with the trolls was a wise move. Trolls didn't celebrate Christmas but they liked getting gifts as much as anybody!
This year's Christmas card, Good neighbours 2 continues on the concept of my 2010 card Good neighbours , about humans passing gifts to the mythical beings one thought populated the great wild forests and stalked the dark of the night. Done using Krita, an open-source paint program.

First off great work on the concept. Floating a gift across a stream on a sheet of ice. Superb. It also cleverly sets the scale for the Trolls and their good neighbour the human. I like the Christmas colours (Red & Green) displayed in the trolls skin and coat and the detail in her tail wrapping around the root for a bit of extra grip.
Fine work on the soft reflection in the water and the folds on the clothes which I hear can be quite difficult when the subjects are in odd positions such as this.
I like the mushrooms growing in the shade of the trees in the background, its a nice detail and the overall message this picture sends is clear and enjoyable. great job and keep up the good work
